Meditation and Anxiety

Mediating is an opportunity to lower your anxiety and find a sense of calm. Mediating can be done anywhere; find a comfortable spot, close your eyes and take a deep breath in and let it out, do this a couple of times and be one with yourself. As you a taking your breaths, find a place in your mind that makes you feel relaxed, happy, safe.

What do you feel, what do you see, what do you taste, what do you smell, what do you hear? As you continue to mediate, notice your body relaxing, peacefulness and calmness begin to take over. When you are ready, take a cleansing breath and open your eyes. How do you feel?

Keep this moment with you and go about your day. Should an obstacle come in your path, take a deep breath and slowly let it out; picture your happy place in your mind and recall the sense of peacefulness and calmness and move forward.
