Maintaining Motivation

During stressful times it can be difficult to maintain that motivational stance. We become easily distracted, especially around the holidays, and lose our focus as we begin to delve into other projects and/or interests. If you're experiencing a motivational shift where you no longer are interested in your current goal, then you need to re-establish and develop a new mindset to achieve that goal. However, if your current goal is still the target, you need to weigh which goal you want to achieve first. Having two separate goals can cause feelings of overwhelmness and cause a regression in your achievement. Suggestion would be to get back on track with the original goal and once completed move onto the new idea. Maintaining motivation is difficult with obstacles that occur, but you can work through those obstacles. In maintaining your motivation, you need to stay focused, accomplish what you can, and keep your expectations within reach. Think about the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, the tortoise never gave up and he won the race, just like you can achieve that goal!
